*Due to their unique grooming habits, in rare cases we’ve found that some cats are sensitive to the stronger cedar scent of Tickshield. Because of this, we recommend using Cedarcide Original instead of Tickshield when applying a solution directly to your cat.

I got this product to repel ticks, and find it very effective. I was doing a simple study, and dragged my field for deer ticks. They were walking around on the drag cloth until I attempted to spray around them with Tick Shield. I accidentally got some of it directly on the ticks, and they immediately curled up and appeared dead. I could not get them to move at all.
After I washed the cloth, I dragged the field for more ticks. However, every time I lifted the cloth to check for ticks, they immediately let go! There must have been some remaining cedar oil on the cloth even after washing, which was repelling them. I feel very safe when using this in combination with my permethrin impregnated clothing.
I want to thank CedarCide for their support of my local hiking group. Very good customer service.

    • Thanks!!

Amazing! Took my dog for a 2 mile walk on the nature trail near my home. Not a single tick on her which is pretty amazing. Before trying this product we would get back from our walks and she’d have as many as 10 ticks. I have to be honest though, if you are not fond of the smell of cedar this product is not for you. It’s pretty strong when first applied.

This product works great. Had, what we thought was an emergency situation. My father who is 85 was out mowing and hadn’t come back in the time my mother thought he should and she was afraid something was wrong, called me in a panic and I ran out in the shorts I had on, but sprayed before I hit the door running. Walked through the woods for about 45 minutes looking for him, found him, he was okay, just having tractor problems. Got home, showered real quick and the next day just found a couple of insect bites but nothing to bad.
I’d say that spraying saved me a lot of discomfort. Normally the bugs love me.
    Thanks for the wonderful product.

This product works great. Also works on stink bugs. Kills them dead when sprayed directly on them.
    Highly recommend this product.
