FAQ

Does Cedarcide Original work against all bugs?

Cedarcide Original is third-party tested for fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, ants, mites, chiggers, roaches, wasps, and scorpions. However, our products have been popular for a larger range of pests for over 20 years.

Is it safe to use on children and pets?

Of course! Cedarcide Original is non-toxic, family-safe, and pet-friendly when used as directed.

How often should I apply?

Apply before outdoor activities that could expose you or your pets to biting bugs. Reapply every 5–7 hours or after getting wet. See “Instructions” on the label for more details.

Can it be used outdoors as well as indoors?

While you can apply Original to people and pets outdoors, as well as spray bugs directly on hard surfaces, Original is not plant safe, so exercise caution when using it around grass or other greenery. For lawn protection, go with Outdoor Bug Control instead.

Is it eco-friendly and non-toxic?

Yes! Original is non-toxic, family-safe, pet-friendly and safe for our planet, when used as directed.

Will it leave stains or residue on clothing or other surfaces?

No, Cedarcide Original is designed to dry quickly and not stain. You can use it on clothing, fabrics, furniture, carpeting, and more. For delicate items, we suggest testing on a small area first.

How long do Cedarcide products last?

As long as you store them in a cool, dry place out of sunlight and freezing temps, they should last approx. 2 years before slowly losing effectiveness. They never go bad or become harmful, they simply lose potency after 2 years.

The best and healthiest bug spray I've found

"Looking for sprays for myself and my son that don't have harmful chemicals in them. After trying many others, I've found that Cedarcide is the best. It does work as a spray to keep bugs off you, but you can also use it to actually kill mosquitoes by spraying them if they're hard to reach. We live in Florida, where there's tons of mosquitoes and gnats in the summer, so this is a staple in our house!"

I love it but it left me crying this time 😭

"I bought this bottle and the tickshield because I live in Texas and I can't be without this stuff. Well, I was outside with the dogs, I had just got done spraying all of us down, put the bottle on the table and it fell 😭 the sprayer part busted off and I lost over half the bottle. . This stuff isn't cheap so I definitely shed some tears over it. You're really missing out if you don't give it a shot. It's hands down the most effective product I've ever used for my dogs."

Excellent product

"I discovered cedarcide after extensive search for an environmentally safe solution to the bazillion legged fuzzy bugs that periodically scurry through my closet and bathroom. I’ve not yet used the spray for anything else but really appreciate that this spray really seems to work. Very grateful to have discovered cedarcide."

Superior product compared to Wondercide

"I previously used Wondercide but it's been an unusually bad year from fleas & ticks and it just wasn't effective. Plus Wondercide made their coats greasy & grimy after 2-3 applications and they hated its smell running away as soon as they saw the bottle. I was so glad to see they do not mind the smell of Cedarcide Tick Shield. They smell like a Cedar closet hahaha. So far the Cedarcide tick repellent has been effective in our yard which backs up to open fields with lots of wildlife especially infested ground squirrels. I'm able to use less spray so their fur hasn't become greasy."

for pets and family

"This is good for all types of insects. Spray on the deck for the carpenter bees. Use on family and pets for ticks, fleas and mosquitoes."

Bug spray

"I used it for my dog before and after going to the park. it looks like its working with his alternative collar."

Alona S. (5/5)

it's natural and works wonderfully on unwanted creatures in the home

"I tried natural ant bait and it didn't work and finally started to use cedarcide. It works wonderfully on many things and this is the first time I tried it on ants. They killed them on contact and then as I continue to get rid of more that we're coming in the cottage, they finally disappeared and they haven't come back! Wonderful product highly recommend it!"
